The Kehillah Project is a community-focused informational platform. We provide educational, civic, cultural, and community-oriented tools and content for the Jewish community and the broader public. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how we handle information when you use our site, including our JewTube Live and JewTube features.
YouTube API Services
The Kehillah Project uses YouTube API Services to help users discover and access relevant Jewish community videos, channels, livestreams, and other YouTube-hosted content through features such as JewTube Live, JewTube, and the Weekly Pulse. We use these services to display, organize, and link to publicly available YouTube videos, live streams, channel information, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and related public metadata, especially around Shabbat and holidays.
Your use of YouTube API Services through The Kehillah Project is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to your use of YouTube and other Google services. The following terms and policies also apply:
To power these public discovery features, the app may display, store, cache, or process YouTube API data (such as channel, video, and live-stream metadata). The Kehillah Project accesses only publicly available YouTube data. We do not require you to sign in, and the app does not use OAuth or access private “Authorized Data” from your Google or YouTube account.
Any embedded YouTube player or outbound link to YouTube may allow YouTube and Google to process information about your device and activity according to their own policies. YouTube content shown or linked from The Kehillah Project remains hosted by YouTube and is owned or controlled by the original creators, channels, and rights holders.
Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
The Kehillah Project may use cookies, local storage, session storage, browser or device identifiers, analytics, and other similar technologies where applicable. These technologies help us operate the site, remember preferences, measure aggregate usage, cache content for performance, and improve the experience.
Embedded YouTube players and other third-party services may also set their own cookies or use similar storage technologies on your browser or device in accordance with their own policies. You can control or clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings, though some features may not function as intended if you do.
Data Deletion and Revoking Access
Because The Kehillah Project uses only publicly available YouTube data and does not use OAuth or access your private Google or YouTube account data, we do not store account-linked authorized data about you. If we hold any user-related data that you have provided to us (for example, an email you sent us), you can request its deletion at any time.

You can review and revoke any app's access to your Google or YouTube account data at any time through Google's security settings: https://myaccount.google.com/connections?filters=3,4&hl=en.
Information We Do and Do Not Collect
The Kehillah Project does not sell personal information.
We may collect basic technical and usage information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, timestamps, server logs, and aggregated analytics where applicable. This information helps us operate, secure, and improve the site.
If you contact us by email, we may receive your name, email address, and message content for the purpose of responding to you and addressing your request.
We do not ask users to provide sensitive personal information through JewTube Live. You do not need to sign in to The Kehillah Project to view or use JewTube Live.
